Feeding advice
During the period from 3 to 18 months your young discus fish will grow from 4 cm to
approximately 15 cm or more. This special energy mixture will support this extreme growth. Full grown fish during their breeding period need extra energy. This mixture will help to keep the skin in optimal condition which is essential since the young larvae will be fed from the skin secretion of the parents. When your fish have been sick they can use some extra energy. This mixture will help them to recover soon since it will provide them with some extra necessary proteins and vitamins.
- The young and breeding fish should be fed 4 to 8 times a day
- The elderly (recovering) fish should be fed 3 to 5 times a day
- Keep at least 1,5 hour between two feeding sessions
- Check the values of the water frequently
- Offer the food simultaneously at several places so the less dominant fish will also get sufficient food
- Start with granulate the first feeding session in the morning
- Follow with two sessions DiscusWorld Energy Food
- Then feed shrimp like food, for instance; brine shrimp, cyclops or daphnia
- Last session in the evening should always be shrimp like food since it will improve the
digestion of your fish
